Happenings and Curiosities in the Life & Times of RDQLUS

1.) Each year I am fortunate to be asked to attend the "Journalism 1500" level class at University of Nebraska - Omaha, as a panelist to discuss branding, inspiration and the use of social media for business. This is always one of my favorite events on my calendar because the energy of the students and fellow panelists (Dusty Davidson, Silicone Prairie News/Flywheel, Megan Hunt, Hello Holiday). 2.) "'Hello' Girl!" My pal, Megan looking fly in wears from her Hello Holiday boutique, just before we teach the youths. 3.) RDQLUS gets love in the "Mile High City" and the love is mutual! But, no trip is complete without a visit to the "High Church of Design Stuff & Junk." Swedish meatballs, Lingonberry juices and those amazing, seemingly magical square footage displays of minimalism gone wild! 4.) D'Anjou pears & blue cheese? Yeah… my fancy ass snack life wants you to get on my level! Classy, huh? 5.) Just about ready to reveal the full look at a new RDQLUS client identity. Been a blast working on the the re-brand of a business—soup to nuts—re-naming, identity system, tagline and brand messaging. Always exciting! 6.) She was in the journalism class I was speaking to this week. Mid-sentence, I looked up and noticed that she was wearing a "TARDIS" stocking cap! It's "Whovian" love all day, in space & time. 7.) Dedication to the fashion cause; what does a guy do when he finds rare, Japanese cotton, selvedge denim? Sits in a tub of tormentingly hot water to get the perfect, personalized fit. Whole different level, my friends. 8.) I missed being able to say hello to my fave crew of creative ladies—my neighbors at Em Space Group—before the Thanksgiving holiday, so I bopped on over to install my usually disruptive hello. Party time when RDQLUS shows up! 9.) Talk about thinking out of the box! One of the most complete brands I've had the pleasure of crafting continues to show growth and expansion within the framework that we created. Now, Dyana Valentine has found a fun and stylish way to impart her consulting & instructional knowledge to her eager clientèle. with lux fabric fortune cookies.
