Okay, the chatter is high and everyone has an opinion, so let's get ours out of the way. I don't believe there's a need for drawn-out reviews of things; you dig 'em or you don't. So I'll just run it down really quickly and let you know what RDQLUS thinks of the new iOS 7 from Apple.
So here's the skinny: it's not an update—it's completely new. This is the first true divergence from the original look & function of iOS since the iPhone's inception. It was bound to happen. Most of the complaints I've heard from fellow "Fruiters" is about that. One woman remarked to me, "It looks like I'm playing my kid's video game or something." Touché. I can see that. Flat design is all the rage but its already played out to me. They've traded drop-shadows and faux-dimension for wooshy zooms and faux-atmospherics you'd expect from a James Cameron 3D movie. It's not "flat"… it's hyper-real! *chuckle* Get over it. It's only kinda cool (not revolutionary by any means) and it ain't half bad. The operation of the system is like being lost in your favorite store after a remodel; you kinda know where you're at but the socks on the other side of the store by electronics now. The "tray" is now a thumbnail view and you swipe up to throw away what you want closed. The notification & control centers are sweet, functional additions that every Jailbreak-aficionado has had for years now. Welcome to the party. And a tip: take some time to turn off non-essential "find me everywhere on the planet" app access—your battery will thank you later.
