"I used to want what others had, until I realized that I could do what they could not simply acquire. I could make better than what could be purchased. One of the very few blessings of growing up as I did is the gift of aspiration, spending a good portion of my life dreaming of a better story—with only desire and a chance to merely acquire the tools and skills to build that story. Nothing more was promised.

What was once my gift is now my product, still creating better than what can be purchased—and now that's exactly the point. I tell stories and imagine new realities for a living, for my clients. God bless my mom for the day she said to me, 'You have a gift. Don't buy my something… make me something!' Pretty damn cool."
