Nike Air Max 97 aka "Silver Bullet" set to drop December 14.
Arguably one of the most coveted of Nike's running collection was born the year they dropped the first full-length Max Air unit—1997. Ironically, it's one of their least functional trainers, even though one of the most beautiful and innovative—aesthetically speaking. The design lab in Beaverton was in its dominant late-90s push that defined Nike's success to this day, and these were quickly elevated to the pantheon of silhouettes that proved no other brand was bringing it like the Swoosh—which was itself visually understated on this model.
Set for Western European release, these 2016 re-deux will be a boutique/internet find here in the States. Stay posted, and we'll see if we can't get you more info. Looking to grab this with our Euro pals? Check with END in the UK, or Shoez Gallery in France.
