RDQLUS posts up in Burbank & Westwood on that creative careers.
So… with the LA life being lived quite well, it was time to get to work. The first order of business was to connect with my colleague, friend & mentor "Pash" (Matt Pashkow), creative lead over television marketing at ABC. We spent the first part of the day talking shop on the drive into the office—enough time to solve a few pressing marketing equations and talk about dreams of owning a new Tesla motor. At the office, I enjoy being in the creative crucible with my friend and someone I respect so much. What's more amazing is to have that respect be mutual.
After a great day at the network, we were off to Westwood Village to have a bit of pizza at the most amazing spot: 800 Degrees. If you haven't, oh trust—you should! After a bit of a walkabout around the Village, it was time to convene with the class at the UCLA Extension to talk design, creative life and career choices with the creative careers class that Pash teaches. Lots of laughs, a great interview with one of the students (as part of the lesson) and then sitting in, contributing to the rest of the session.
I love making this trip and hope to do so again in the future. RDQLUS has love for LA. Thank you for showing love in return! "Stay Gleaming," Cali!
